Empowerment Program for 51 Widows in Kado-Kuchi Community, Abuja – 2025

SEF's founder marked her 51st birthday in 2025 with a wave of giving that publicly reported figures describe as clearing medical bills for 51 patients and supporting 51 widows, alongside scholarships for 416 pupils, a symbolic tying of the number 51 to the milestone birthday. The Kado-Kuchi widows' empowerment programme appears to be part of that same wave of activity, aimed at giving widows practical means of support rather than one-time cash relief.

Programmes targeting widows specifically address a gap that mainstream social support in Nigeria often misses, particularly for women who lose both a partner and, frequently, their primary source of income at the same time. SEF's continued focus on this group reflects a recognition of that gap.
