Meet the Founder

Dr. (Mrs) Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, OFR, is Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Felak Concept Group — a technical and professional consortium of thirteen subsidiaries operating across engineering, maritime, oil and gas, ICT learning and development, security, hospitality, and other leading sectors. She is also Founder and President of Sam Empowerment Foundation, the Group’s corporate social responsibility arm.

She is also Chairman of Bluewave Exploration and Production Limited and was at the forefront of the initiative to develop a deep-sea port in South-South Nigeria — a landmark achievement for a female-owned company in that sector.

Early Life & Education

She attended Federal Government Girls Science School, Kuje, Abuja, before proceeding to the University of Jos, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy in 1998 — grounding her career in business, finance, and industrial leadership.

She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Belize and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Commonwealth University, Belize, in 2010. She also holds a certificate in the Advanced Leadership Programme in Corporate Governance and Administration from the Møller Institute, University of Cambridge, and a certificate in Legislative Engagement on the Petroleum Industry Bill.

She was happily married to the late Engr. Sulaiman Akao Achimugu and is blessed with four children. Widely admired for her warm personality, lively disposition, and clear sense of purpose, she has a passion for philanthropy, exploring new ideas, reading, and travelling.

Dr. (Mrs) Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, OFR, is Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Felak Concept Group — a technical and professional consortium of thirteen subsidiaries spanning engineering, maritime, oil and gas, ICT learning and development, security, hospitality, and other leading sectors. She also chairs Bluewave Exploration and Production Limited and helped pioneer a deep-sea port initiative in South-South Nigeria, a landmark achievement for a female-owned company in that sector.

Recognised for visionary leadership, lasting impact, and sustainable growth across sectors.

In 2025, Dr. Achimugu expanded her impact by funding school fees for 1,100 vulnerable children, a ₦70 million kidney transplant, and medical outreaches in Kubwa and Chafuyi (FCT). She also supported faith-based projects, including mosque constructions, and launched a ₦20,000 soft-grant initiative for 500 families in Aloji, Kogi State.

Education

Social Impact

As Founder and President of Sam Empowerment Foundation, she champions interventions in education, healthcare, nutrition, women and youth empowerment, psychosocial support, civic engagement, and humanitarian response for vulnerable communities across Nigeria. Over more than a decade, SEF has reached over 70,000 lives — including scholarships for 1,300+ children, free medical care for 55,000+ people, 200+ funded surgeries, training for 7,500+ women and girls, WASH projects, and large-scale food relief.

Leadership

Her leadership reaches national platforms such as NigeriaWorks 2030, shaping strategies for Nigeria’s future workforce. Honoured as Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR), and recognised with awards including African Female Business Leader of the Year, the US Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and the Forbes Best of Africa Innovative Leadership Award, her mission is to create platforms where ordinary people achieve extraordinary outcomes.
